<h2>The Pigott Brothers</h2> <p>Oliver and Sebastian -aka The Pigott Brothers- shot to national fame on last season’s Canadian Idol as the first sibling finalists in the franchise’s history.</p> <p>The two got their start in the band Laughing Sam’s Dice, who made waves in the Toronto Indie Scene in the early 2000s with appearances on CBC’s Jonovision and profiles in The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail.</p> <p>Around this time, Oliver was signed to a publishing deal by BMG Canada and spent the next few years working with some of the most respected names in the business. After touring the United States and the U.K., where he recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios, Oliver returned to Canada in 2008 to work with his brother and perform on Canadian Idol. Esteemed names such as Tony Cowell, Amy Winehouse and Lukas Rossi have expressed their admiration for his work.</p> <p>As well as being a Canadian Idol top 8 finalist, Sebastian Pigott is an accomplished actor with a supporting lead role in the hit TV series “Bomb Girls” and the second, third and fourth season of CBC’s “Being Erica”. He has also appeared on NBC/CTV’s “The Listener”, CBS/CTV series “The Bridge”, the US Discovery Channel feature film “Deadliest Sea”, Stephen King’s “Haven” and the Lionsgate feature film, SAW 3D.</p> <p>The Brothers’ blistering debut album “Pigottry” and the MuchMusic video for its single “Rich Man” were released to wide acclaim. This was followed by the overwhelmingly received release of their love song “Alien Like You”, which they wrote for Sebastian’s rock star character Kai in the international hit television series “Being Erica”.</p> <p><strong>Their new album, “The Age Of Peace”, was recorded, mixed and mastered at CBC Studios in Toronto. It was released September 14th, 2012.</strong></p>
