As researcher, advocate, citizen and mother of two beautiful girls, I believe that sustainability is worth working for, no matter how daunting the task. My research and teaching focus on crises in our food and energy systems, and climate change: what are the causes, interconnections, and our prospects for following new more sustainable pathways into the future. Prairie Urban Farm represents my effort to work directly toward more sustainable pathways right here in my home community of Edmonton.
