I've personally been struggling for years living in NYC and trying to grow vegetables in a tiny apartment. I have a Master of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute and I have years of experience designing products for manufacturing, so I've taken it upon myself to approach this problem from a design perspective. I believe that growing food in urban environments is an inevitable part of our future and that good design can bring food production technology into the home environment.
