<p><span>GRRRL Camp Founder and Co-Director, Elizabeth Labedz, is a life-long sports and girl empowerment enthusiast. After competing in the team handball Junior Olympics, playing 8 years of fast pitch softball, and competing in golf and basketball, she uncovered the lasting benefits of playing sports as a girl. Earning her Gender studies degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign taught her more about the status of girls today, and she was inspired to share her powerful sports experience. After 12 years of working with youth, she founded GRRRL Camp to solidify the life lessons learned from sports, and to lead other workshops for today's girls.</span></p>
