Independent filmmaker and crowdfunding pioneer

I invented film crowdfunding in 1998 when I used the Web to help finance my first feature "Foreign Correspondents" (starring Melanie Lynskey, Wil Wheaton, and Corin Nemec). I raised $150,000 online that year to finish the film. I also wrote & directed the 2003 feature "Claustrophobia" and the 2015 short "20 Matches", funded right here on Indiegogo, which went to many prestigious film festivals and picked up a few prizes. I love movies.
