...a global anarchist media collective

From the Pacific Northwest to the Pampa Ondulada, the “global north” to the “global south”; since its inception the Anarkos Media Collective has spanned the globe. We are art-activists & visual anthropologists; documenting cultures of resistance and helping to create alternate models of globalization that put people & our planet before profits. Our work is a small part of centuries (even millennia) of struggle to advance humanity toward the fulfillment of every social need, while simultaneously hindering the advance of corporate greed.

Everything we do is “free”, in every sense of the word. Not just by the fact that all project participants offer their work voluntarily, but “free” as in a state of being unencumbered by the typical restraints of the status quo. We harbor no pretense of “journalistic objectivity”, but rather we aim to explore (as much as possible) the “intersubjective” nature of the scene, the camera, and the media-maker. We make every effort to live that which we document, and we sincerely hope that our documentaries may inspire new ways of living for others as well.
