Geek Mom-preneur

I'm Jen, a wife and mom of two girls, and the entrepreneur behind Geekling Designs.

Geekling Designs started in 2009, after searching countless places for something unique for my daughter to wear. I happened across a DIY screenprinting site (using freezer paper!) and made my first bodysuit... and I was hooked!

Along with my husband, we started selling at local kids markets and swap meets, and launched our Etsy store in Spring 2009. We started focusing more on the online portion of our business (the BEST place to find other like-minded Geeks!), and we watched the business continue to grow.

In 2011, we welcomed our second daughter into the world, and while I was on maternity leave, we invested in professional screenprinting equipment, to increase production and efficiency.

We experienced phenomenal growth throughout 2011 and are continuing to grow by leaps and bounds in 2012! I am now able to work full-time from home, while raising our two daughters. It's a tricky act some days, but it's well worth it!

2012-2013 we are focusing on new product lines, a new website, and will be selling at local comicons throughout Western Canada and the US.
