Producers of the award-winning HBO documentary AMERICAN WINTER

John Cox and his son Geral were featured in the award-winning documentary AMERICAN WINTER, which aired on HBO and was nominated for an Emmy and a Ridenhour Film Prize last year. Producers Joe and Harry Gantz first met John and Geral in Portland, Oregon when John called into the 2-1-1 social services hotline seeking help paying his electric bill after his job loss during the Great Recession depleted all of his savings. We have stayed in touch with John and Geral since completing the film in 2013.
