Host and producer of the only korean TV cooking show in the US!

<p>Dubbed &ldquo;Korean Food Ambassador&rdquo; by her fans and supporters, Cathlyn Choi is currently&nbsp; the only Korean chef on TV hosting a Korean cooking show in the US.</p> <p>A multi lingual, multi talented entrepreneur, composer, artist and TV show host, Cathlyn can be best described as an &lsquo;All-in-One&rsquo; artist whose warm and friendly personality with background and knowledge of various cultures and cuisines appeal to a diverse audience of different nationalities and generations.</p> <p>Since age 11, Cathlyn developed a passion and sense for cooking by watching her mother and grandmother cook.&nbsp; At age 13, she also helped her parents with their catering business in Brunei for 5 years. Cathlyn acquired a sophisticated palate through years of living and traveling throughout Asia and other European countries, sampling and cooking various kinds of cuisines.&nbsp; Since then, Cathlyn has developed over a thousand traditional Korean and fusion recipes.</p> <p>In February 2009, with the help of her husband and co-producer Eric Michelson, the first Korean cooking show in the US was launched through KTSD Time Warner Cable Channel 12, a local TV station in San Diego.&nbsp; Then in September of 2009, Cathlyn signed a contract with tvK24 and launched Season II of Cathlyn&rsquo;s Korean Kitchen nationwide in November.&nbsp; Season III titled Cathlyn&rsquo;s Korean Food Challenge was launched on tvK24 in January, 2011 followed by PBS SoCal in July.&nbsp; Season 4 program featuring Korean ingredients and popular traditional and fusion recipes is scheduled to air on national PBS in fall of 2012. All the background music on Cathlyn&rsquo;s cooking show are originally composed, arranged and/or performed by Cathlyn.</p> <p>Additionally, Cathlyn also hosts cultural and live events in San Diego throughout the year as well as performs live culinary demonstrations at the Del Mar Fair, Asian Cultural Festival, Taste of Asia, Multi Cultural Food Festival, Taste of Korea, LA Times Food and Wine Festival, Gourmet Experience Expo, San Diego Bay Food and Wine Festival and most recently at Let&rsquo;s Move California, an event sponsored and initiated by First Lady Michele Obama to create awareness about healthy foods and prevent obesity and diabetes in children.</p> <p>She is currently on the board of San Diego Korean American Association and holds the position of Vice Chair of Korean Women&rsquo;s International Network San Diego Chapter. Cathlyn also sits on the advisory board for Hansik Globalization Committee Los Angeles founded by Korea&rsquo;s First Lady Kim Yoon-Ok and is a food columnist for Hanin Community News Monthly Magazine San Diego.</p>
