In 2013, a history professor, a UMWA Local 1440 leader, a local historian, a teacher, an interior architect, a media-maker, a facilitator and a descendent of a UMWA hero came together to do something that has never been done in a West Virginia museum or school history book--we came together to tell the people’s history of the West Virginia Mine Wars.
