Jorge has over 45 years of experience building houses, boats, furniture, and turning. Originally from Mexico City, he migrated to the US at age 32, and worked as a "jack-of-all trades" all over the country. For many years he worked as the ship carpenter for the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and sailed with the ship to Stonington, Maine, where he stayed, and has lived ever since. In the Stonington region he has constructed and repaired numerous buildings, and worked as a fine woodworker.
