His films have received worldwide acclaim, screening and winning awards at over 40 film festivals, including The Cannes International Film Festival. His films have also screened on HBO, Showtime and BET J.&nbsp;He is the recipient of a&nbsp;Director’s Guild of America Student Film Award, a regional Student Academy Award and an HBO Short Film Award.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;">Ya’Ke graduated with his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s film program.&nbsp;He just completed production on a documentary entitled&nbsp;<i>Father</i></span><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;"> and&nbsp;is fundraising for his debut feature, which he plans to shoot in the near future.&nbsp; He is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Texas at Arlington.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <!--EndFragment--> <p></p></span>
