I'm a freelance writer and broadcaster living and working in Canada. I've spent most of the past couple of decades telling stories about ordinary people and the sometimes extraordinary challenges they face. I've done this through print and radio, sometimes television, and, occasionally, film. I'm a generalist but I have a keen interest in stories from Pakistan and Afghanistan -- specifically looking at how conflict and war have changed people's lives.
