Help us cure the world's first genetic disease.

I'm the Online Communities Officer for the AKU Society, the patient group for alkaptonuria (AKU), or Black Bone Disease. It was discovered more than 110 years ago, but still it has no approved treatment or cure. I've worked with the Society for over a year now, and I've seen first hand the debilitating effect this disease has. Our patients have been waiting decades. We've finally found what we think is a cure - so please help us get it approved now. Let's change our patients' lives.
