The ZeGo bot is multifunction delta robot. And it is one of the fastest ways to get involved in DIY robotics and 3D printing. The ZeGo classic assembly kit comes with all of the hardware, electronics, tools and software that you need, to assemble and operate your ZeGo bot, right out the box, including one attachment of your choice to expand the functionality of this versatile tool. Right now we have 5 different attachments and applications developed for the ZeGo bot.
PLOTTER - A drawing device for paper or a LCD sketchpad.
WOOD BURNER - hot end device for drawing graphics on various materials.
ENGRAVER/PCB MILL - a desktop CNC milling attachment for engraving PCB boards and other materials.
PICK&PLACE - a vacuum head an entry level “pick and place” attachment that adds a fourth rotational axis for positioning small parts and electronic components.
The combination of the PCB mill and the pick and place machine, allows you to do the electronic prototyping in house. Using these two attachments together would allow you to cut turn around time tremendously when prototyping compared to sending an order away to a fabricator. Instead you could do it all here with one robot in just a few hours time, compared to few days or even weeks time going through a shop.
3D PRINTING ATTACHMENT . One of the most interesting applications for the ZeGo bot is the 3D printer attachment. The 3D printer is based on “FFF” technology, fused filament fabrication.It uses a filament driver that pushes the filament to the extruder which has a hot end at 185C for PLA. It extrudes through a 400 micron orifice. The printer extrudes plastic in small quantities layer by layer until your physical object is fabricated.
So why crowd funding? We would not be able to build the community we wish to form around ZEGO robot by working alone. We need your help. The goal of our crowdfunding campaign is to foster a community around this open source fabrication tool.
Working volume resembles hexagonal column. Height of the column slightly varies depends on the toolhead but approx. is 230mm. Hexagon base dimensions are illustrated below.

Free Educational Workshops
One of the the biggest benifits of owning a ZeGo bot is access to educational workshops. As part of the campaign, we are providing free online workshops with our ZeGo classic assembly kits for our fellow TechShop members nationwide. Each workshop is divided into four sections, lasting two hours each.
Online workshops use multiple cameras, remote control access software and continuous guidance by our expert instructors to help you build, use and learn about your new ZeGo bot. The four workshops are:
1) Mechanical assembly
2) Introduction to Arduino, and configuration of firmware.
3) Introduction to Gcode and the software toolchain used to operate the ZeGo robot.
4) Calibration of the machine, assembly of the 3D printer attachment, and the software toolchain for 3D printing.
The workshops are one of the fastest ways to get involved in DIY robotics and 3D printing.
ZEGO UBËR FAN KIT items

ZeGo Keys. These hex keys are all of the tools needed for mechanical assembly.
ZeGo Stick. Powder-coated and laser engraved thumb drive. Loaded with a Live linux distro. This system is preloaded with arduino IDE and other awesome and extremely useful opensource software. Just boot your computer from this drive and program away.

Risks and challenges
We have worked out many of the logistics challenges and problems. Most of our manufacturers and vendors are local and a large part of our fabrication is done in house.
We are confident in this campaign and our ability to deliver.
Mishaps and setback are part of any product, but we pledge to keep you updated about any and all potential delays.
