My name is Yothin Amnuayphol. I have been serving coffee and food to the PNCA (Pacific Northwest College of Art) community for the past 12 years. My relationship with PNCA and the Portland art community goes back even further as a former art student. I graduated from PNCA in 1988 with a major in Ceramics. I have kept close ties with the college and when the opportunity arose to work in such a creative neighborhood, I was happy to repond. In the near future, PNCA will be moving to its new home in the North Park Blocks. For me to continue to be a part of PNCA and to continue the strong relation I have with the school community of students, staff, alumni and the neighborhood, I will have to transform from an indoor coffee stand to a mobile van.
My project is to transform a Citroen van, a unique European vechicle I strongly feel would be a great addition to the future of the creative community. We have found the vehicle in France from a reputable dealer and he is ready to go ahead with the project. The proposed funds being raised from the project would primarily be dedicated to purchasing this van which would be transformed into one of the most original espresso vans you would see around town.
The entire project would cost around $30,000.00. I am planning on using my own savings and some loans to cover what I have proposed..
