The Woodstock Comedy Festival is a 501©(3) not-for-profit corporation with a mission: Comedy for a Cause. Donations will help us pull off this amazing event, and net profits from the festival will be donated to two charities working to defeat violence against women: Family of Woodstock (domestic violence) and Polaris Project (human trafficking).
With commitments from Bobcat Goldthwait, Dick Cavett, Eddie Brill, Rick Overton, CollegeHumor feat. Jake & Amir, Upright Citizens Brigade TourCo, TV comedy writers, and many more to-be-announced, we are well on our way to an epic inaugural festival this Sept. 20-22, 2013, in Woodstock, NY.
All events will be held in local venues around Woodstock, and the comedy will range from stand up to sketch, improv to open mic, comedy panels, and a show for the kids.
With the cache and reputation of Woodstock, the proximity to NYC, the open-minded residents and those in the surrounding areas, and how Woodstock is becoming the favorite little country town of celebrities – we’re planning on a great turnout. Not only in the audience but on stage as well.
