We the University of Oregon Disc Golf Club have made a resurgence. We quadrupled our membership, recruited a full women's team, and are making progress towards our civic goals.
We are trying very hard to fund-raise our trip to the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships, primarily to ensure that competing as an Oregon Duck remains open to all students of all economic backgrounds. If we come together as a team, everyone can reach a little farther.
Our team is looking good this year. We have a strong "A Team" and a very deep and talented "B Team." Also, our women's team will be very competitive. We hope to bring some trophies home.
The Oregon Ducks are currently the top ranked team in Oregon, and we pulled a great victory out in Monterey, CA at the West Coast College Open, hosted by the CSUMB Club.
In short, we could use whatever help we can get. We have a number of fund raising opportunities, but it looks like we will not quite reach our goal. This money would go a long way to closing the gap, and ensuring that Oregon can take our best players, regardless of economic fortune.
