Dear Asian Shivers Lovers

Do you like Crazy Japanese Movies, Anthology film as CREEPSHOW or TALES FROM THE CRYPT, New Wave of French horror, werewolves, hunter, Tokyo, Giallo & time travel...?

Then TOKYO GRAND GUIGNOL is made for you – 4 scary and wicked stories for a feature film anthology.

The movie is a completely indie project from Dice Entertainment, born from the passion of Japanese actor/producer Hiro Ishihara and his 2 associates Gilles Landucci and Yann Moreau.

TOKYO GRAND GUIGNOL is an unique and amazingly exciting multi-cultural project for which we’ve even managed to get the support of worldwide acclaimed French directors

Xavier Gens (worldwide acclaimed for his movies THE DIVIDEFRONTIER(S) and HITMAN); Jean Frederic Chaleyat (multi-award winner for his short film ENGRENAGES), and Frederic Grousset, famous for his innovative features AQUARIUM and CLIMAX.

And now, the first exclusive Teaser for you, Indiegogo members!!

(from the Story 1 : GOOD BOY)

The project

After acting in many Japanese movies, Hiroei was left disappointed by the lack of imagination and decided to call some promising French directors to give a fresh point of view on one the most filmed cities in the world: Tokyo.

The rules of this project are simple: A limited budget, total freedom and imaginative stories of 25 mins which need to include a kiss and be mostly shot at night.

A baroque and vivid hommage to the Theatre Grand Guignol, one of the main origins of the horror cinema :

The Team

Hiroei’s choice of directors includes (click on names for more informations):

  • Francois Gaillard, famous director of Italian's thriller homage BLACKARIA and LAST CARESS

  • Gilles Landucci, director of the award winning short film Sarah at the Chicago Film Festival

  • Yann Moreau, director of many music videos, commercials, documentaries (for Vogue, Arte Channel,...) and two independent feature films - BURIAL OF THE RATS & RAGE IKARI.

Teaser Posters:

As extra support, we’ve also secured the help of two of the most respected special effects make-up artists:

Kenji Sato (DEAD BEFORE DAWN with Christopher Loydd) and DAVID SCHERER (THE THEATRE BIZARRE, THANATOMORPHOSE,...).

Canon is also extremly helpfull and provides Mark 2 and 3, and a great choice of "fast" lenses!

Where we are now

3 of the 4 stories are already shot, 1 has already been edited and the 2 others are currently being edited.

The last shooting is planned to take place in May with the aim to finish the full movie for July 2014. We are currently in talks with some big festivals in Europe for the Big Premiere, after which we’ll plan a worldwide festivals tour so that we can show you the movie and hear what you think.

The video release (VOD, DVD, BLURAY, TV...), and hopefully some theater releases will follow in 2015.

We need you!

But before all that can happen and to complete this beautiful union of imagination and culture, we need your support!

We will make many updates on this IndieGogo Page, and also on the official facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/tokyograndguignol

Your donations will help us to get:

- Better equipment and locations for the last shooting (in May)

- Special make up and gore effects.

- As well as support professional sound and image post production

- Festival fee paiement, help for distribution material and Marketing.

Our goal is to let you, our audience, join us you for this funny and scary trip so that we can all proudly complete this really unique project! Maybe the beginning of a multi-cultural Franchise of tomorrow...

Help us and witness the birth of a truly unique cinematic experience.

Thank you so much!

Merci Beaucoup!!

Domo Arigato!!!
