“This is Titletown” is a sports documentary centering on the Youngstown-Warren regional area and the boxing greats it has produced. (Youngstown touts more boxing champions per capita than any other city in the United States.).
"This is Titletown" plans to showcase the five world champions from Youngstown: Ray Mancini, Harry Arroyo, Jeff Lampkin, Greg Richardson, and Kelly Pavlik, and how these fighters became world title holders and how the Youngstown/Waren regional area and it's people helped shape their careers. The area, like the fighters, persevered through tough times to overcome the odds. The working class community rallied behind and were inspired by their boxing heroes, proving Youngstown’s ability to thrive through adversity, regardless of economic hardship.
Told through the point of view of these five champions, the film will show how each came to represent their city and country through the sport of boxing. It will chronicle the great fights of each champion as well as those who helped to influence their careers. Told in their own words "This is Titletown" will be a fighters journey from amateurs to world champions, and beyond.

The blue-collar mentality, combined with the peoples’ love of boxing, helped to support each boxer as he climbed his way to the top, representing Youngstown’s rise as well. The turn from each fighter’s small town days, to respective champion of the world, proved that Youngstown will never be down for the count. Its citizens are individuals who will never back down, who have always taken pride in their city and their champions. From the retired greats to the new class, the city still continues to support its working class heroes.
