Hi everyone, and welcome to The Queens Mail-Order R&W Fruitcakes and Rum Bread Puddings entrepreneur project. Our goal is to get our delicious food gifts to as many people as possible. We specialize in Rum Bread puddings and Fruitcakes, and have been making them for a few years now. After seeing the strong response these desserts have had from customers throughout the years, at my family’s restaurant, I decided that it would be worth it if the product could reach a wider audience. I decided to venture out and start my own business because there was true potential for growth. I have taken the time to consider and research the best time for us to launch this new business and fall seemed to be more appropriate and effective to start this new journey. The Holidays are all about food, gifts, and love and a time of celebration and also the time when most people purchase mail-order food. The fruitcakes and bread puddings always had their best sales at the restaurant during the holiday season as well.
We are ready to begin this new chapter, allow our delicious guilty pleasures to partake in your celebrations this year.
Pineapple Upside Bread Pudding
Now a little more about our Fruitcakes and Bread Puddings. The fruits for our cakes are soaked in a mixture of red wine and rum which gives the cake its deep and dark color. We prefer to chop most of the fruits into small pieces so there aren't any big chunks within the cake itself. A lemon and lime glaze is poured over our fruit cakes but we also provide it without the glaze. The Bread Puddings are made with plain or cinnamon bread, milk and rum. We offer a variation of fruit and nut toppings along with our bread puddings. We are looking into making gluten free products in the future but for now we do not have those options available. The options we do have are quite delicious and we invite you to try for yourself. To make sure that we are not overwhelmed when the time comes to send out the rewards, we are only offering a few different selections of Bread Puddings. We look forward to expanding the Bread Pudding line in time, the recipes are already waiting. We also have our special Candy Cane Swiss Roll, it has a peppermint cream cheese butter-cream icing and covered in coconut flakes. This cake was inspired by a childhood treat made of coconut flakes and peppermint, we thought it would be a good fit with Christmas coming up.

Most of the funding from this project will be used for buying shipping/packaging supplies and some of the ingredients such as the rum. The cost of shipping and buying dry ice, gel packs or insulated boxes is a little more than normal packaging and the rum will be the most costly ingredient we use. We already have some of the ingredients that we will be using, but the more we are able to fund the easier it will be to buy in bulk and get a discount. With the support of backers we will be able to raise enough to get all the supplies we need and get the word out about our business.
Once the goal is funded fees and taxes will be taken out and that just leaves us with half of what we made, so we would appreciate all the support we can get. Behind the scenes fun fact:
I created a display of presents and even wrapped up cakes, puddings and caramel apples as gifts as well. My intention was for it to be reminiscent of Christmas but the camera decides to break and I had to use my cellphone’s camera instead. Just because an unknown challenge pops up when you’re almost there, doesn't mean you should skip a beat. You can always adjust.

my name is Kevetta. I’m the owner (the big kahuna) but I won’t be doing this
all by myself, there will be others here on this journey with me. Things about
me: I’ve always been private, not one to share who I really was and then all of
that changed. I wanted more and to be able to do more. I love baking and making
sweet things, the only thing I love more is making music. I’m a creator all
around and want to share my creations with others. I have wanted to start this
project for ages, to be able to create a brand that represents quality within
its own niche and now I’m taking a leap of faith. I grew up in a family of
restaurant owners my entire life but I never wanted to go the traditional route
of owning a restaurant, instead a wide scale approach appealed to me and the
choices I wanted to make. I have a vision and I want to execute it as closely
