WE'RE FEATURED IN FILMMAKER MAGAZINE! CHECK IT OUT!
We hope you appreicate the teaser. My name is Jade. I am an award-wining Deaf filmmaker living in Manhattan, NY producing THE SHATTERED MIND, which is inspired by a true event. I love making stuff up and turning them into reality. I consider myself to be an imaginative storyteller. You see, the film I want you to support is part true, part fiction. When I was a little girl, I suffered from a concussion and as result of it, I became deaf. So, I thought, why not take some of that experience and mix it up and turn it into a movie. After all, that's what makes a great screenwriter, right?
Anyway, we have brought THE SHATTERED MIND to life! We have completed the production on July 20. We've exhausted all funding ($18,500) we have raised through private donors and Gofundme and is unable to move forward with postproduction. We need your help to raise at least $14,500 more to submit the THE SHATTERED MIND in Film Festival before the end of the year.
We do not know where else to turn to except INDIEGOGO and YOU. Please help us reach that goal, and quickly. Indiegogo allows us the flexibility to raise whatever funds we collect so we can begin with the editing. And I mean, we really need to start, like right NOW! Please, there's no time to think because we do not have a lot of time. $14,500 will go toward hiring editors who specialize in visual special effects, color correction, graphics, sound design, and captions. We will also use the money to hire a composer to create music for our beautiful movie.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER PLANS FOR THE SHATTERED MIND
Once we wrap up postproduction, a couple of things will happen. Other than submitting THE SHATTERED MIND to Tribeca Film Festival, we'll be submitting the film to both domestic and international film festivals for 2014-2015 screenings. We really, I mean, imploring you that you help us raise a few more thousand dollars so we do not run into any bumpy roads that will slow us down. We cannot afford to.
Our primary asset in all of this is the conviction that we will succeed because this is our third phase of fundrasier campaign. Please know that we will do everything in our power to live up to the faith you've placed in us with your remarkable generosity. We are extremely persistent and we believe in this film. And lastly, we would like for you to believe in us. Friends, business partners and our social network connections have witnessed the journey we have to carry the film this far, breaking our backs to collect over $18K in less than 5 months. Persistence is in our DNA! There's no stopping us. And we hope the Kickstarter staff is with us as well. SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES!
