The Nomad Theater Project

The Nomad Theater was built in Boulder, CO in 1951 and is one of Colorado's oldest theaters. Once a cultural hub, this theater in North Boulder has seen its share of wear and tear over the years.

So, a local group of citizens, students, and musicians have taken it upon themselves to organize this fundraising campaign. The vision is to turn the theater into a modern, independent movie theater and music room. A place to get a bottle of wine and relax with friends over a film or watch a professional recording session.

On April 6th, there will be a benefit concert held at the 2,000 seat Macky Auditorium on the CU-Boulder campus.

The money raised will go to state of the art

  • Audio Equipment
  • Projector
  • A New Screen
  • A Complete Renovation of the lobby, seats, and stage
  • A New Website

What We Need and What You Get

Or goal is to raise at least $20,000 to get this project under way. This is a very small budget for a project of this scale. A local group of citizens have already put in much of their own money and volunteered their time to get production for the benefit concert underway.

Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated! If we surpass our goal of $20,000, the renovation will be that much better. 100% of the proceeds from the fundraising campaign go to the renovation of the theater.

We are offering a number of benefits for your generous donations, including

  • A limited edition event poster
  • An "I Support The Nomad" sticker
  • "Meet & Greet" passes for the benefit concert
  • Private Luxury Box at the Macky Auditorium
  • An entire balcony section for you and your friends/coworkers
