How does this stretch goal work? Simple! If we make up the cost of putting together a new Middle book as described below through sales of "The Pan-Universal Parental Reconciliation" then we will create an an entirely new Middleman adventure for 2015 - another 88-100 page graphic novel that will continue the Middleman saga and go on sale as a print on demand title on the Middleman web store!
Sadly, we cannot offer the 2015 book as a solo premium or as an add on to new or existing donations -- merely that we will produce it if we meet our goal and offer it on our forthcoming webstore at a fair and delightful price!
New to the page? Wanna know what this is all about - keep reading!
In 2005, Viper Comics published The Middleman. It didn’t just spawn three more graphic novels, it also made the Young Adult Library Services Association's list of “Great Graphic Novels For Teens!” Not bad for an indie black-and-white book, right?
In 2008, The Middleman exploded into TV - and though we only lasted twelve episodes, The New York Times did use the word “genius” in their review!
Now, the comics are in danger of going out of print, and with them, our only hope of creating new Middleman material. The Middleman is owned by ABC Family/Disney... but they have graciously given me, Les McClaine and Viper the right to publish new Middleman adventures in comics!
With your help, we will create an epic tale in which the comic book characters collide with their TV counterparts: The Pan-Universal Parental Reconciliation!
This isn’t just about making a new comic, but about giving The Middleman a new home - a print-on-demand webstore where you will be able acquire both our legacy books and the new adventure, at fair prices, with new covers - in a never-before-seen large format!

Once this campaign funds, production will begin on the new graphic novel - which is currently scheduled to debut in July of 2014, and the remastering of the legacy books... the web-store should open in the second quarter of 2014!
Perks? Boy, have we got perks, starting with...
Gosh yes! We're getting the band back together for one night only, and you can be there to see it: a live reading of “The Pan-Universal Parental Reconciliation” followed by an autograph session!
And yes, Matt “The Middleman” Keeslar, Natalie “Wendy Watson” Morales, Mary-Pat “Ida” Gleason, Brit “Lacey Thornfield” Morgan, Alan “High-Aldwyn” Smyth, and - of course - Jake “Noser” Smollett have all agreed to attend!
And that’s not all! To play the role of “Comic Book Wendy,” we have a special guest, Amber Benson, of Buffy The Vampire Slayer! Don't believe me? Take a look at THIS:
Or how about this? (and why is he standing by a nuclear reactor?)
The event is scheduled for Saturday May 24, 2014 in Los Angeles... you have to furnish your own airfare and accommodations, but this will be a unique opportunity to see the original cast, and get two items of your choice autographed by the stars of The Middleman (yeah, there's a limit, we don't want them getting carpal tunnel)!
The reading will be taped, edited and released on YouTube sometime after the book’s debut at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con!

And that ain't it -- here's a couple more perks we got for ya!
And here are a few new Middleprops!
In the case of a bidding conflict for the items below, the perk will go to the first bidder on indiegogo's record and all other payments will be refunded.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
There is, of course, the possibility that one or more of our cast members will - due to personal or professional emergency - not be able to join the live reading. As of the launch of this campaign, they are committed and we will make every effort to not only insure their participation moving forward but also to keep donors informed of any changes in the line-up.
Finally - comic books are artisanal and hand-crafted, so there may be delays. Les McClaine and I are committed to publishing the book by the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, but if any issues should arise, we will keep donors informed of any and all changes in our production timeline.
