***READ BOOK 1: CHAOS IN HUMANHATTAN! NOW!!!! ***

(SEE LINK BELOW.)

Our 92 page, full color graphic novel is finally ready to be published and we need to see if there is enough demand for our book in order for the publisher to cover the high print cost. Help us bring this book from digital to hard copy! If we can get 350 or more pre-orders, we can make this happen!!!!

*ALL FUNDS RAISED HERE GO DIRECTLY TO THE PUBLISHER TO PRINT BOOKS*

The retail price of the graphic novel will be anywhere from $14.95 - $19.95 depending on how many we have made (the more we print, the cheaper per piece). You can pre-order it here at a discount for $17 including shipping (international shipping higher). If we can raise one half of the print fees, the publisher will give us half of the print run. We'll have an extra 500+ books to give away free to cancer centers, hospitals, and patients. There are 72,000+ young adults diagnosed with cancer each year, and we'd like to help ease their experience by sharing Kaylin's experience, outlook, and humor. Help us bring this book alive and spread the laughter!

WHAT IS THE COMIC ABOUT?

Kaylin was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer at age 23. Her life was immediately put on hold and a new journey began. Throughout all the pain and uncertainty, she discovered within herself a powerful coping mechanism in the form of humor and imagination. This comic book is the result.

Slightly cynical, slightly irreverent, and REALLY hilarious, "Terminally Illin" is a candid look into the life of a young adult battling cancer, but with a psychedelic, sci-fi twist! It’s more than a comic book: It’s provocative, educational, entertaining, and totally original.  Think of "Terminally Illin" as a chemo-induced "Alice in Wonderland' meets campy 'Hollywood' action-adventure.

In our story, our hero goes in for her first day of chemo, but ends up getting lost in a fantasy world within her own microscopic body - on a quest to meet her disease face-to-face and kick it's butt!!

She's joined by her pet kitty, Iceman, as they set out to destroy Cancer City, the invading cancer cell army, and their leader - the little dictator that's bent on world domination. We hope you follow along and maybe even learn something.

WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK OF IT SO FAR?

Two years ago, we published our first comic with the help of Kickstarter.com and we've donated copies to cancer patients and hospitals all over the world with lots of enthusiastic feedback from patients, doctors, nurses, and more - people love it!  It was even featured on MTV's "World of Jenks" Season 2. Here are some testimonials:

“Cancer education just got both geeky and cool.” - Mikl-em , Laughing Squid

“Kaylin’s attitude in dealing with cancer is so inspiring that I felt her story had to be shared with the world - so I documented her life and the making of this comic book on my MTV show ‘World of Jenks’.” - Andrew Jenks, filmmaker

"Just got my link to the .pdf version of Terminally Illin'. This couldn't have come on a better day. I'm laying here in bed with a leaking, open wound from an incision that has been cut, irradiated for 5 weeks, re-cut and re-re-cut open over the past few months. It hurts. It's ugly. It's gross...and damn it if it isn't pissing me off. All I want is to be able to go for a run, swim with my kids, or hit the rock climbing wall. I put on the smile for friends and family, but I am so ready to be over this cancer thing. I really needed a good laugh and this totally did it for me. Read the entire thing twice. I don't know that anyone has done such a great job telling the cancer story as you two have done with this comic book." - Glenn D. Grossman

"Cancer is so serious, sometimes you need to shine some fun to make it through!" - Sheena Eickholt, 2013 Lymphoma Survivor

"This comic helped me find humor in a situation that is filled with pain that I didn't have control over. I ♥this comic." - Jessica Prestwood, cancer survivor

“Irreverent, sassy, strong and beautiful, Kaylin Andres is the Lara Croft of the cancer world. She isn’t fighting cancer, cancer is fighting her -- and it better watch out.” - Suleika Jaouad , Emmy Award-winning New York Times Well Columnist

WHY SHOULD YOU GET INVOLVED?

Without your help, this book might stay in the digital world forever - help us make the hard copy a reality with your pre-order today!

***WE SET OUR FUND RAISING GOAL TO $6,500 BUT WE DON'T HAVE TO HIT THIS GOAL TO COLLECT THE FUNDING. IF WE DO HIT OUR GOAL WE WILL HAVE HUNDREDS OF BOOKS AVAILABLE TO GIVE AWAY FOR FREE TO CANCER PATIENTS - BONUS!

Even if you don't want to back this project, tell a friend. =)

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET YOUR BOOKS?

According to our publisher, the cheapest printing option is literally the slow boat to China. They estimate 2-3 months time until the books arrive. You'll most likely get your books by June or July, but it's worth the wait!!!

WHAT T-SHIRT AND BUTTON IMAGES WILL BE USED?

We're designing a new t-shirt and button for this project which will be revealed at a later time (after we take care of more pressing details). Be assured whatever the final designs, they will kick butt and you will want it.

DO WE SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes. But the pledge levels do not include the extra shipping. We can work out the rest by email and using paypal.

FEEL FREE TO EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE AND THANK YOU FOR CHECKING US OUT!

Sincerely,

Kaylin & Jon
