We're Television Generation, a 3-piece alternative rock/punk band out of Denver, CO. We need your help to record our first professional EP! Our sound is highly influenced by bands of the early 90's alternative and grunge scene, including Nirvana, Mudhoney, Pixies, and Sonic Youth. But I'm also a huge fan of the early 90's Britpop scene, like Oasis, Blur, Stone Roses and Pulp. And let's not forget Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Who, the Beatles and the Kinks. We've been playing together for a few years around the Boulder/Denver area, and all of our previous releases have been self produced.
Recently we were scouted by a grammy winning production team that wants to work with us to produce an EP and pitch the singles to a new licensing company by a member of Universal Records. (!) The producer who wants to record us has produced albums for The Fray, Cowboy Junkies, and Sara Mclachlan, just to name a few. Other members of his team have done live sound for everyone from Tom Petty and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Pink Floyd's 1990 'the Wall Live in Berlin'.
Tracking will be done at Side 3 Studios in Denver, with mixing and overdubs done at the producers own studio.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to move up to the next level in our music careers.
After the recordings are finished, they will be pitched to licensing and management companies in the industry.
We simply cannot do this without your contributions!
The amount of songs we can record depends greatly on what we can raise in this campaign:
- If we hit our goal we can record 3-5 songs.
- If we surpass our goal, we can record more songs and do a proper release of the CD.
- If we do not reach our goal, we may only be able to record one or two songs, and may not be able to afford enough time with the experienced ears and ideas of our producer.

As three young college/post-college guys, we're struggling just to get by:
It would take us years of saving to be able to afford this, and by that time the producer ship will have sailed.
- We're confident in our music. Now we need your support to make it happen!
