Description of Business:
Taste of Aloha will be a fast-casual restaurant, serving fresh Hawaiian native dishes. It will be located in Arbutus, Maryland. Chef Robert Alcain will bring the spirit and Taste of Aloha to the Washington, DC; Baltimore; and Annapolis area.
I will strive to earn a loyal customer base: after all, a highly satisfied client base will encourage repeat customers, who will make up the majority of my clients.
I have access to niche fresh, organic, local, sustainable markets of service and expertise to bring an amazing fusion of local products with Hawaiian know-how to keep the belly full and the face smiling.
Products and Services:
Taste of Aloha will provide flavorful dishes from the islands of the Pacific Rim, focusing primarily on Hawaiian cuisine. Our unique menu will encourage patrons to return time and again. The offerings are distinctive delicious and healthy comfort food straight from the islands.
Modern Hawaiian cuisine is an eclectic fusion of many cuisines brought by multiethnic immigrants to the Hawaiian Islands, particularly of American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian and Portuguese origins, including plant and animal food sources imported from around the world for agricultural use in Hawaii. Many Hawaiian restaurants in the islands serve ubiquitous plate lunches featuring the Asian staple, two scoops of rice, a localized version of American macaroni salad, and a variety of toppings ranging from the hamburger patty, a fried egg, and red wine, pork, beef, or mushroom gravy of a Loco Moco, Japanese style tonkatsu or the traditional luau favorite, kalua pig.
Taste of Aloha will be focusing on serving local families, friends, students, of the greater Washington, DC; Baltimore; and Annapolis areas. The proximity to UMBC, BWI, and lightrail will provide an easy and convenient stop and feast for foodies, students, and workers in the area.
Our prompt and efficient service will make us an ideal choice for local workers because they can get a quick, satisfying, healthy, and unique meal within the time constraints of their lunch break. And get back to work easily due to our central location.
There are three local colleges in the nearby area. We aim to capture a portion of that market with reasonable prices, delicious, trendy, visually stimulating, aromatically capturing meals, friendly service that conveys the aloha spirit and free Wi-Fi so that students can continue to study while they grab a bite to eat.
We recognize that the most powerful and effective means of generating new business is word-of-mouth. People turn to trusted friends or colleagues for recommendations regarding Taste of Aloha. Because word-of-mouth referrals are free, you can’t beat the return on investment that a positive referral can generate. To stimulate word of mouth, we will actively ask customers for referrals and recommendations. The driving force behind consumers’ desire to share positive stories about local businesses is the trust, friendship, and sense of ohana they have in the food, service, and people of Taste of Aloha. We will strive to build that trust with every interaction we have with our customers to earn your appreciation and return visits throughout the years.
We must truly believe in and always apply the fundamental meaning of hospitality, which is that the customer must truly be made to feel welcome and cared for. The trust that a customer feels, is based upon our ability to recognize what it takes to please a customer, and then is built upon by continuously delivering to that customer above the level of expectation that the customer expects. The level of attention and care that our staff will bestow upon our customers will set us far above their competition.
We strive for professionalism, convenience, trustworthiness and making a memorable island experience. We provide a small vacation away from the work day and the toils and troubles of metropolitan Maryland. Step onto our island for a feast you will not soon forget.
Taste of Aloha seeks your help to establish and grow this new business in a manner which will allow us to provide exceptional services to the local area. We appreciate your consideration. Aloha and Mahalo.
