Sarah started out her love of competition at an early age playing softball and has loved sports and competing ever since. She is well known for her strength, determination and drive. Sarah played professional women’s football for the Austin Outlaws in 2006-2007. She played on the offensive line and was known for her dedication and teamwork. She has competed in Hyde Park’s Push/Pull completion the last 2 years and in 2012 began competing in Strongwoman competitions. Sarah placed 2nd in the Shamrock Showdown Strongman competition in March 2012, qualifying for Nationals.
Sarah began 2013 with a new trainer, Bryan Gordon, with Woodward Crossfit. Bryan’s focus, energy and experience were the right combination to enhance Sarah’s natural abilities. This year, Sarah has competed in both the Texas Strongest Man and Plano’s Show of Strength. Sarah took first in Plano’s Show of Strength and again qualified for Nationals. Sarah plans to continue to compete in an upcoming competition in Waco, Texas in August and at Strongwoman Nationals in Dennison, TX on October 18th and 19th. Sarah has a goal of dropping 50 pounds to enhance her strength and speed. Sarah's other goals are to increase her total deadlift, bench press, and to hit a 200 pound stone to shoulder.
