We are longtime passionate filmmakers yet to get our break. This is a story that we know and feel can make its way into people's hearts and minds.
In this webseries, we follow Campbell and Lauren Beardsworth, two cyborgs who tap into their robotic side, to save their human side. When the company that developed their technologies comes out of retirement, it's recall time and their very lives are at stake if they don't get themselves off the company's radar.
We've chosen the web as our platform after multiple attempts of adapting to other markets; we feel this to be the best arena enabling us to produce great work without compromising our vision.
What We Need & What You Get
We've whipped up an awesome idea for our investors! We thought, "What can set us aside from other sci-fi/superhero/thriller shows?" well, we decided to cater right to our audience, and will set you up to go to the nearest comic-con of your choice, on us! Hopefully, you'll plan on pushing this show, but in the end, that's up to you what you'll do while there!
We'll get to what's important...where the money goes. We're a small production group, and want to maintain the kind of audience that would set aside the time to watch this, and not make it look amateurish. For this, we are eyeing out the best locations, a couple recognizable faces that have taken favour to the script, adaptations into other media (comic books, mobile games, etc.), and some extra lighting -- all things that don't come free.
As well, we have included merchandising costs and promotional costs, in hopes of allowing other assets to keep us going, as opposed to always resorting to crowdsourcing for financing.
If we don't obtain our goal, the costs will go into investing for further funding. The show will go as planned, but we'll be lowering the scale. The funds will help go to pushing the show at conventions, advertising, and merchandising to get the word out.
Shows like Firefly, Farscape, Caprica, Eureka, Jericho, Defying Gravity: all sci-fi classics cut before their time by the networks. The likes of FOX and SyFy cannot stop us. This is why we have chosen the web, as we want to be a series that the audience can be a part of, and so, we plan on reading your comments and making sure we make something you'll love based on YOUR opinions and feedback. We intend to make this a show, that we the creators, being the fanboys we are, would have wanted to get hooked on ourselves as viewers. We only ask for your support, and we'll take it from there.
