Strap and Crap

The Strap and Crap™ helps lessen the chance of messin' your pants when participating in outdoor activities.

When nature calls, do you like answering by squatting in the woods?

Me neither. That's why I invented the Strap and Crap™, a simple, Made in the USA strap device that reduces thigh strain and eases your woods waste woes.

By raising these funds, I'm looking to do a limited production run on the Strap and Crap™ so I can sell it online and in local sporting goods stores. I was able to get a feel for various manufacturers during the prototyping phase and ultimately chose a manufacturer based in Austin, TX. Your generosity will fund materials and manufacturing for the Strap and Crap™, as well as help me bring it to a larger market.

Thanks for supporting a small, local business!

About Laura

I discovered my love for the outdoors as a young child playing in the creek, climbing trees and "popping wheelies" on my first bike. As an adult, I've been fortunate to live in some of the best cities in the world for outdoor adventures, which is good because I must regularly feed my hunger for hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing and fresh air.

I invented the Strap and Crap™ after reminiscing about a particularly unpleasant outdoor restroom experience many years ago. Though my professional background is in marketing and social media, I have a true passion for the outdoors and a mind that's constantly problem-solving in "inventor mode." I'm really excited about bringing this to my fellow outdoorsfolk and helping them lessen the chance of messin' their pants!

My Promise

As is the case with most projects of this type, there are risks and challenges associated with completion. Murphy's Law is especially applicable in projects like mine where there are a lot of moving pieces - ordering, sewing, shipping, etc. You never know when a part will be backordered or a sewing machine will need repair. The key when this happens is communication. I value honesty above all else and promise to be 100% transparent in my communication with my backers.

Your support and trust mean a lot to me, and I don't want to let you down. If problems should arise, I won't spend days feeling sorry for myself or wasting my energy on negativity. Instead, I will immediately get to work finding an alternate solution. One advantage of having a brain that is constantly operating in "inventor mode" (see my bio above) is that I generally have a back up plan. In fact, I've learned that sometimes the alternate solution ends up being better than the original!
