Spotlight America is funded with our own money, time, sweat, and lots of tears... Now we need to get it on the air to build an audience and to achieve the goal of this series: To bring attention to some of the great must-see places in America.
You are funding the broadcast (TV and Web) of the pilot episode of Gunnison Colorado. We have secured air time with Blue Highways TV ,Comcast, LeSea, and are currently trying to secure several others. Current household approximate total= 30 million.
THESE NETWORKS ARE NOT PAYING US TO AIR.
The arrangement is strictly through barter where we get a few minutes of commercial airtime. That airtime will likely pay for just a small percent of the total funds needed just to break even!
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET ON THE AIR!
Why? Spotlight America brings attention to lots of communities across America which can help increase tourism, increase business opportunities, increase attention to those people and organizations who are out there making a difference. For example, in our pilot episode we show the great efforts of Tough Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) and their fight against breast cancer, with Cattleman's Days Rodeo and Jim Swaim.
Our series on the air can allow us to place more PSAs and bring a spotlight onto things that need to be seen. Here's a great example of a PSA for TETWP that we were able to create pro bono: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8WA2Sb-S7U&feature=share&list=PL87F8470C3E3235A8

What We Need & What You Get
We need $4,000 for our first round of fundraising. Although this does not cover any of the actual production, it covers the final expenses of creating the deliverables for the networks including final legal and post-production expenses.
For full disclosue, our total out of pocket expenses for the first three episodes is just over $40,000. (NOT including sweat equity...That would more than triple it)
We are trying to raise only $4,000 for final delivery to get these shows on the networks that will reach out to about 30 million households... and growing.
HELP US and GET PERKS!
There are perks for your funding dollars... so, look at the options, make a contribution and get your perks!
This benefits the communities and states featured in our series, and helps us to consider creating future episodes across the country.
