I'm Chris Schroeder, the Executive Producer and Writer for Song of Kwagala. Welcome and thanks for dropping in!
IMAGINE 15 jumbo jets full of children crashing everyday.
With 6,000 children dying daily due to drinking dirty water, an Emmy and Grammy award winning team says enough - we need your help!
That's how many children die each and every day, simply because they don't have clean drinking water. Water, something you take for granted, is the most significant contributor to poverty, hunger and death, affecting 800 million people globally.
Kwagala International, an award winning mix of successful, musicians, songwriters, business executives and movie industry professionals are raising awareness and funds to fight this epidemic.
Our goal is to raise $341,000 dollars to fund the movie and soundtrack and, in turn, give MILLIONS to groups on the ground helping the people so desperately in need, including Project Hope, one of the oldest and most respected charities in the world. Another partner is onexone.org, which Matt Damon works closely with to provide clean water for children.
Entertainment and music are a huge part of this project. The core musical team of Greg Barnhill, Todd Murphy and John Elefante have a combined 4 Grammy Awards, 10 Grammy nominations, 1 Emmy Award, 3 Emmy nominations and 5 Dove Awards. This movie is an inspirational and moving story, filled with award caliber music that at one moment will make you cry and the next have you on your feet celebrating.
Now is the time for independent movies. We have an amazing team and know we will win awards and hearts of viewers in the same way other great independent movies like "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Beasts of the Southern Wild" have. Choosing to produce the film with your support and not a big studio will help us sleep better at night knowing the money will reach the people in need.
Nobody has ever created a powerful movie with an incredible story line, music and movement behind it. We need your help to make it happen and want you to be a part of Kwagala, which means love in Ugandan. We are doing this for Kwagala.
By helping us create this movie, YOU will literally save children from an uspeakable death of pain and suffering. This is real and this is now. While you have been reading this, ten children have died, one child dies from a dirty water every 15-20 seconds.
Saving children from suffering and death is enough of a reward but we want to give back to you because YOU are a part of this mission.
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
- GIVE WHAT YOU CAN
- SHARE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY BY USING THE INDIEGOGO SHARE TOOLS
- SEND LOTS OF "KWAGALA" (LOVE) OUR WAY!
With our sincere thanks and kwagala,
Hopefully you've seen and heard some of the interviews we've already done but, as you know, the more people involved the better; for press and media inquiries and to schedule interviews, please contact Todd Murphy at firstname.lastname@example.org
