SmartMio uses the process commonly known as Electrical Muscle Stimulation, or EMS (also called Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation or NEMS).

It depends on your sport and your training objectives. For best results, use SmartMio on 1 to 3 muscle groups 2-3 times a week. Depending on your training program, a typical session can run from 12 to 45 minutes. You can cut your sessions in half by using 2 SmartMios in Duo mode to stimulate your left and right sides simultaneously.
The first release will offer:
· Main training programs: Endurance, Resistance/Toning (+Aesthetics), Strength, Explosive Strength (Speed)
· Supporting programs: Active Recovery, Potentiation (Warm Ups) and Massage
Depending on demand, we will regularly add new programs and levels to the app, as well as improve existing ones.
We recommend you sit or lie down during your SmartMio session. But, depending on the muscles you’re stimulating and in which mode, you can also do tasks (e.g. use your PC, read or watch TV) that will make little or no impact on your workout. The SmartMio app will advise you on movements you can do during each session. On your own, you can also tell which actions you can and cannot do.
NEVER use SmartMio while driving, operating machinery, doing physical training or any other action where involuntary muscle contraction can cause an accident or injury.
It depends a lot on the properties of your skin as well as how exactly you use and maintain your electrode pads. On average, SmartMio electrode pads are good enough to last for 20-30 stimulation sessions.
