I'm proud to announce that the film 'SERAHIM' has been completed and will be released on October 27th 2014
SERAPHIM an apocalyptic, dystopian micro short film.
My name is Kip Kubin and I'm the director of the short film SERAPHIM. I believe that in everything you do you should create an environment that encourages a rewarding outcome. I feel that SERAPHIM is the first film I've directed that really encapsulates that idea.

With my first film, Each Time Again I had a simple goal. It was to finish it. To prove that I could take an idea to script to screen in a timely manner. I did that and it was extremely successful with several official selections at film festivals and a theatrical world premiere in Beverly Hills CA.
As with any project, when finished if you take a step back there's plenty to learn.
That brings us to SERAPHIM.

My biggest regret in my first film was not inviting everyone to be a part of it through crowd-funding. Some of my apprehension was fear. Asking for money and not delivering. Some was just not understanding the nuances of crowd-funding.
I'm now asking you to contribute to SERAPHIM's completion. Not only to support the making of this film but also to start building a community that can take ownership in all we are doing. I say we, because anyone reading knows it takes a small army of people to write, shoot, score, edit, and finally to promote the film. To let everybody see what we've made.
SERAPHIM is already a special film as it's the first short many of us will have completed that's shot entirely on film.

Adapted from a dream, writer / actor David Malus returns to star in this simple dystopian tale of choice and consequence.

CAN WE DO IT? YES
I've tried to manage the risks behind backing the film. I felt that to earn your trust the film had to be shot, transferred and a rough edit completed before we started our funding campaign. Showing you we know what we are doing rather than telling you.
Matt and his crew did an exceptional job filming the short and Video & Film Solutions processed and transferred the footage to my hard drive. Above you can see some screen grabs and I hope it gets you excited to be working with celluloid again or for the first time.
The film is currently in post production and I can't wait for everybody to see the finished film.
My goal with SERAPHIM is also simple. To entertain. But it's also to build a community of people who love science fiction and horror films. To allow those people an opportunity to directly be involved in the making and promoting of SERAPHIM and all the films that will follow.
I'm asking you to contribute to SERAPHIM. That may come in the form of money but it also may come in the sharing of this campaign and or the final film. I thank you for anything you can do to help.
