My name is Maher and I work at The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in Alberta Canada. I am launching this campaign to raise money for medications and treatments to a person fighting cancer with an unstable financial standing. With your generosity and support, if we could raise $10,000 you and I potentially could help in saving someone’s life. With our unity, it is simple, if we save ourselves a can of pop a day we potentially could.
Leila is a young lady who is about to give up on fighting cancer due to financial conditions and incapability of expensive treatment payments. I’ve met Leila during a visit to my parents back home in Lebanon this winter. It did not take me long to realize that the charming eyes of a bold lady do have health problems. After chatting with Leila I sensed her depression and that she’s losing hope in life. With a pale face and a hoarse voice scratching her throats she said to me; “I guess we have to stop treatments, no more money and my husband needs what’s left “if any” – laughing sarcastically, to take care of our kids, they are young and all what I want is not having them suffer after I go!”
I could not stop thinking of these sparkling eyes looking for hope in a heart giving up fighting for life. I decided to do my best to help her out. I wish I could share a photo of Leila with you but with her physical appearance, Leila did not wish to share with me a picture of her. I’m hoping one day that Leila will cure from cancer and we’ll be able to upload her video and personally thank everyone who contributed towards her treatment. I believe that there are many people like you to prove to Leila that she should and will recover and that she will not leave her family and beloved simply due to financial situations. You would not imagine how much a donation will make a difference regardless of the amount, even a $1 will definitely help.
How would you feel if you know that you could possibly save a life, and if you could, would you not? Leila needs an immediate treatment so if you wish to help please donate as soon as possible and we truly appreciate your generosity.
