RUNNING WILD is a comedy/romance/western/road movie/coming of age story about LIZA (Zoë Worth) and ELI (Alden Ehrenreich), childhood friends with a disastrously dependent, sexual-tension-laden relationship. Back for their first winter break home from college, Liza and Eli run away together, and embark on a road trip to no where --encountering blood, sex, and a bar mitzvah. Liza and Eli tear each other apart, desperately trying to connect, and just keep running and running and running.
The movie stars Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro, Beautiful Creatures, Blue Jasmine), and Zoë Worth (Chloe + Zoë, Shut Up and Drive), who in 2009, founded The Collectin. The film features Zachary Webber and Jack Quaid, as well as both Ehrenreich and Worth's actual moms (!!!)
The film was written and directed by Melanie Shaw, and is the first feature film effort from our theater/film company, The Collectin.
We began shooting the film three years ago, for very little money, and after an arduous, two-year-long post production period, we have an opportunity to get the film distributed, and seen on places like ITunes, Netfilx, Time Warner, and other VOD/streaming platforms.
SO. In order to do this, and for the world to see our movie, we must raise finishing funds to help finalize our sound mix, music licenses, titles, and to premiere the film.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Your donations will go towards FINISHING OUR MOVIE, at long last!
$16,000 is the absolute minimum to cover all of the costs mentioned above. These are all specialized services, and aren't cheap. Any additional donated funds will go towards publicity, our premiere, and tax/legal fees. After two years WE'RE ALMOST THERE, but now we need your help, these finishing funds, to get our movie distributed and viewable.
If you cannot donate, you can still support us by sharing our project with friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, and so on.

Production designer Emma Berliner has worked on a vast variety of feature and television projects, from features like the forthcoming Palo Alto Stories to Boardwalk Empire and Parks and Recreation. Her short film, that she wrote and directed, "Miss Ellis Island", won the Oliver Stone award for screenwriting in 2011.

In the Summer of 2009, Alden Ehrenreich and Zoë Worth created The Collectin, a theater and film collective made up of some 35 mostly college-aged students -actors, directors, writers, and artists; creating work that was tailor-made to the strengths and unique qualities of the actors performing. We starting meeting and creating projects together in New York City. We have been based in Los Angeles, but with a bicoastal community, since shooting Running Wild in 2011.
On Thursday nights, when not in rehearsal for one of our various projects, the actors, writers, and directors in the group meet for "workshop" at The Bentley House (an empty house we use as headquarters in Westwood) where we try out new material, and do scene-work and exercises. We recently wrapped our second film, Shut Up and Drive, in November 2013, and are beginning pre-production on our third.
