Have you ever been on a bad date? Or stuck in a bad job? So have we.
That's why we've created Rom.Dot.Com, an unromantic comedy about what happens when life becomes an eTragedy. The series follows Kate, an unemployed, 20-something journalist living in her grandmother's basement, who's forced to take a job ghostwriting personal ads for losers online.
However, we need your help to make this series a reality! There is a breakdown of our budget below as well as more information about who we are and how you can help out. Every little bit counts!
We're donating 10% of the proceeds to the Make-a-Wish Foundation because when you make our dreams come true, we want to do the same for someone else!

Molly McGaughey (Director/Producer)
Molly first fell in love with directing, writing, and performing while creating her own version of The Nutcracker as a child, forcing her sisters to perform for neighbors and using her old Easter candy for their payment. Since then she has had worked on a variety of independent productions while freelancing in Film & Television. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College in New York City and is passionate about comedy, caffeine, and creativity. Molly is thrilled to continue her quest to make the world laugh by directing Rom.Dot.Com.
Suzy Evans (Creator/Writer/Producer)
Suzy is a writer of all stripes living in New York City. By day, she is the senior editor of Backstage, and by night, she turns her own online dating misadventures into web comedy fodder. Suzy couldn't be more excited about finally putting that playwriting minor from UCLA to some use with Rom.Dot.Com! Her other projects include a Christmas musical about CIA agent elves rescuing a kidnapped Santa for her and her brothers and a half-finished film adaptation of The Boxcar Children for her American Girl dolls. Each was a huge success...with her parents.
Mikaela Feely-Lehmann (Kate)
Mikaela is an actress living in New York, most recently seen on Broadway in Cyrano de Bergerac, opposite Tony winner Douglas Hodge. She attended New York University and trained at the Atlantic Theater Company, where she also made her Off-Broadway debut in The New York Idea. In addition to acting, she also really likes cooking, cycling, reading, taking pictures, and drinking coffee.
Elaine Barrow (Granny)
Elaine decided to be an actress in the crib, and has been busy happily playing someone else ever since on Broadway, Off-Broadway, films and TV. She loves acting, music, improvisation, Chinese food, and most of all, her glorious grandchildren. She is looking forward to being a sexy Grandma on Rom.Dot.Com.
Kay Copeland (Elizabeth)
Kay is a New York-based actress who's latest roles include Law & Order: CI, Breathe In (Sundance film: Drake Doremus), Teen Nick, and various National and International commercials. She studies at Michael Howard Studios and is represented by Shirley Grant Management.
Keith Rubin (Lester)
Keith is an actor, musician, and comedian. After moving to New York in September, Keith began acting and teaching with the Story Pirates, a nationally respected education and media organization, as well as improvising through UCB and The P.I.T., and performing original music at venues around and about town. He is excited to branch into the webseries world for the first time with Rom.Dot.Com.
Nick Ryan (Jared)
Nick is a seaside-born actor, singer, and student living in New York. He holds a BA In Theatre and is currently completing his film and tv acting training at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts here in the city. Nick just finished an webisode for the Clients from Hell series and is currently working as the lead on an SVA grad film and a project with JLR Media. He had his NY Theatre debut in the The Shallot, a new comedy that played a sold out run in the Manhattan Repertory Theatre this past fall. Nick is thrilled to represent douches everywhere in Rom.Dot.Com.
Megan Lynch (Avery)
Megan is an actress, comedian and writer in New York. She can be seen on various commercials, hair modeling, and as the co-host of the upcoming online talk show, Gossip Meets Couture. Her first job in the biz, was as an NBC page (yes, just like Kenneth).
