For the past three years, we've been publishing a collection of fiction, poetry, essays, and art from writers and artists all over the world, and with a special focus on our town of Spokane, WA. All of our financial support comes from our readers, and so far this has been enough to cover production costs, but not enough to pay our contributors. This is where you come in. Meeting our fundraising goal will allow us to support the creative endeavors of the writers and artists whose work we bring to you.
With your support we'll be able to pay each contributor in 2014 a minimum of $10 per published piece of work.
We're excited to announce the beginning of a residency program in 2014, where we'll select a writer, poet, and artist in residence from the Spokane area whose work will be published in each issue of the year.
Here are the available pledge items:
With every pledge amount we'll include your name in our supporter list that will appear in each issue of 2014.
You can get them with either a pin back so you can wear them or a magnet so you can put them on your fridge or whiteboard.
We have both digital and print subscriptions available for a full year of four issues.
Note: The photo above is of past issues. Your one year subscription will contain all-new issues.
We have four 8" x 10" typographic prints available that have appeared in past RiverLit issues.
We're only making 10 of these handmade block prints! Approximately 11" by 11".
If We Fall Short
If we aren't able to meet our goal, the funds we do raise will go towards adding more pages and content, miscellaneous costs that keep the magazine going, such as hosting fees and licenses, and/or next year's fundraiser.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you aren't able to contribute monetarily, you can still help us spread the word. Please share our campaign on your social network(s)!
