My name is Seth Walker. I am a filmmaker from Seattle.
Reminisce is a short film dealing with life, death, love, loss, and the importance of memories. The original script was written almost two years ago, but has been rewritten from scratch. With your help it will be completed before the summer.
This short film is undoubtedly festival-worthy. It is now in the hands of extremely professional and capable filmmakers, and with this last bit of funding, we can launch this thing like a rocket.
What We Need & What You Get
We need $700 for an underwater case for the camera, to rent a metro bus for a set, and to pay our stars (let's be real, actors act better when they are paid).
$10 Personal thank you. Email from Seth.
$20 Exclusive access to the behind the scenes Vimeo channel so you can keep track of our progress.
$50 Digital Blu-ray copy so you can enjoy this film in its highest quality.
$100 A real Blu-ray of the film, producer credit, and all previous awards.
We'll take anything we can get. If we don't reach the $700 goal, we're basically paying out of pocket for all these things, and right now, that's just not an option for a poor filmmaker.
The priorities are as follows:
- Pay actors
- Underwater case for camera
- Metro bus
Our actors come first. We want to compensate them for their talent, and we can't do that without your help.
“It is obvious that art cannot teach anyone anything, since in four thousand years humanity has learnt nothing at all. We should long ago have become angels had we been capable of paying attention to the experience of art, and allowing ourselves to be changed in accordance with the ideals it expresses. Art only has the capacity, through shock and catharsis, to make the human soul receptive to good. It’s ridiculous to imagine that people can be taught to be good…Art can only give food – a jolt – the occasion – for psychical experience.” - Andrei Tarkovsky
This is it, folks. This is my debut as a director. The spotlight is on me. As of now I do not have the means to complete this. I know that this short film has the potential to affect people. To make change is my number one priority, to get people to think about things they wouldn't normally think about, to view things from a different perspective.
