At Quantified Care we believe in the power of mobile health (mHealth) technology to change the practice of medicine. Our goal is to support the next generation of Quantified Clinicians through solutions that help medical professionals learn about, adopt, and integrate mHealth technologies. With this Indiegogo campaign and your support we are launching our first solution: A professionally-curated marketplace to help patients and providers find and adopt the best-in-class mHealth technologies.
No matter where clinicians practice medicine, these technologies open up significant opportunities to improve care both within and beyond the clinic.
We believe mHealth can help the modern physician meet the growing challenges and changes in healthcare. However, a chasm exists between these technologies and the clinicians who can put them to use. Quantified Care's curated store is the first of many steps to sync up the modern clinician with the right tools, at a crucial time.
This campaign marks the launch of Quantified Care's digital marketplace where we've already been able to bring together great products from our partners at many of the leading mHealth companies.
We've developed two timeless accessories as exclusive perks for this campaign, to complement the mobile health devices in our store.
The Osler and Blackwell products are built for functionality and style; you don't need to be a clinician to carry one. The Osler Bag's removable pockets and multiple compartments are perfect for the working mom. Its large interior also makes it the ideal choice for a weekend trip. The Blackwell smartphone wallet and case is built for anyone looking to combine cash, cards, and their smartphone (iPhone 5, and other models - see FAQ) in one easy place. Check out more details below:
We're offering store credit for almost every perk in our campaign to give you a chance to try out some of the devices in our store at a discount. We'll send that credit to you right away though you can use it until the end of this year. Additionally, by helping us outfit the 21st century clinician, our supporters will get a discount on our Limited Edition print runs of the Osler and Blackwell accessories.
If we can achieve our goal of $15,000, Quantified Care promises that this support will be used to:

FAQsQ: What is Quantified Care and who is behind it?
A: We are the first curated mobile health e-commerce store with the singular focus on helping clinicians, and their patients, adopt these technologies. Our team includes clinicians, engineers, business people, and designers who trained at Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Penn, and MIT.
Q: I really want to buy some of your awesome mHealth devices! How and when will I receive my store credit? How long does it last?
A: During each weekend of the campaign, we will be generating and emailing out unique codes to everyone who supported our campaign in the previous week with their store credit. Don’t forget to include an email to receive your store credit! You have until the end of the year to use any store credit issued during the campaign. We recommend using it as soon as you can, especially if you want to upgrade you or your loved one to “Quantified” by the holidays. The coupon code will expire on December 31, 2014 at 11:59pm Eastern time.
Q: I’m interested in adopting a number of mobile health devices. What comes in the QC CARE Kit?
A: The kit include the following suite of mHealth devices in a Limited Edition Osler bag: blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, scale, heart monitor, ophthalmoscope, and thermometer. But that may not be all! We’re already working hard to expand the Quantified Care portfolio. If we successfully reach our campaign goal, we’ll be able to provide even more tools as part of the QC CARE Kit. Stay tuned for details and updates as the campaign progresses.
Q: The QC Experience sounds exciting! What is it exactly? Are there any limitations on where you’ll go and what you’ll do?
A: The QC Experience is your opportunity to meet the Quantified Care team and receive your very own live demo where we teach you how to use and take advantage of the mHealth tools that come with the QC CARE Kit. After we’re done, you get to keep the kit and all the devices inside.
This perk can take different forms depending on who you are, what you’re looking for, and whether you’re a patient or provider. For patients, it can include you, your family, or your friends at the location of your choosing. (Keep in mind that this is for educational purposes only; we will not be providing medical care). For providers, we can throw a larger demo event for your business or practice. We’ll work with you to put on the best demo for your needs and interest.
At its current level the QC Experience will only take place within the continental United States. However we are happy to work with you if you live elsewhere - we’ve demoed the QC Experience (Smartphone Physical) all the way in Doha, Qatar. Please contact us!
Q: I live outside of the US but am interested in your products. Do you ship internationally?
A: We do not currently fulfill orders outside of the US, but if you are interested in placing an international order please email our team directly at email@example.com.
Q: What makes the Osler bag and Blackwell wallet unique? What devices will they fit?
A: The Quantified Care team is very proud of its collaboration with NYC-based Avery James Design to develop the Osler and Blackwell. Not only have these accessories been created with top-notch material and handiwork, they have been specifically designed to work with mobile health technologies. You may wonder why did we decided to make them in the first place. We found that it was challenging to keep track of and transport these mHealth devices at all of the conferences and clinic we were visiting. Many people began recommending that we solve this problem too in order to fulfill our vision of the Quantified Clinician. This is how the Osler and Blackwell accessories were born.
The Osler bag will comfortably fit a 15” laptop and the Blackwell will fit an iPhone 5. We are working to make an extensible version of the Blackwell that will also fit larger smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8.
