Hello, my name is Joseph Bodnar III
I am 39 years old and live in New Hampshire. I hold an Associates Degree in Radio and Video Production, an Associates in Arts, working on a Bachelors in English presently. I modeled as a teen, worked as an actor on various projects throughout my life and worked behind the scenes as well. I am an abstract oil painter and self-published author.
I had a major setback in life due to illness and by the grace of God, reclaimed my wings and now given the opportunity to follow my dreams. This is why I feel passionate about this project. I have had the amazing opportunity to become friends with a child who has the terminal illness, Friedreich Ataxia. He is great little man. I believe that giving this child a gift of film, something he loves so much, would be an immense stride at providing more joy in his life and shedding more light on this disease. I have been given a second chance at life and I want to utilize my abilities to create and present this short film to him. I am going to endeavor to make a feature length film once the short is complete.
By donating to this project you will be helping cover all production costs, equipment, talent. You will help achieve making the world more knowledgeable about Friedreichs Ataxia and help put a big smile on a young boy's existence.
We are trying to raise $5000.00 in attempts to make a fantasy into a reality on film. The short will be about a daydreaming child who falls asleep in class and dreams of a long life of cartooning, animation and invention.
We are raising money through artistic means that will go directly to FARA (Friedreich Ataxia Research Alliance) as well. www.curefa.org
