Each one of these workouts can create parody amongst the couple which doesn’t discourage but motivate each person to compete with themselves and not the strengths and weakness of their spouse. NIKE FUEL BAND
The FuelBand is a device that tracks down all of your activities and digitizes them in a simple metric called “Nike Fuel”. The band allows users to easily toggle between time, distance, calories burned and “Fuel”. The FuelBand comes packed with built-in USB, an accelerometer and a tracking algorithm; which syncs wirelessly with your iPhone over Bluetooth, and can track your progress on either an iPhone app or the Nike+ website. NYC AGAPE helps couples stay self-motivated due to three accountability factors:
The Nike fuel band- the Nike fuel band is a tool which I found purposeful for this program because its discrete and cool looking. It however can transmit directly to me how many calories one takes in and burns off, what times of the day and how active they are, as well as a calculation called fuel points based on the body index of the specific person. This is a new technology which self motivates people due to the fact the client as well as my self can see if they have met there goals for the day.
The second accountability factor will be ultimately the opposite spouse, the person who one lives with, eats and sleeps with seeing virtually everything one is doing. Understanding that working together for a common goal almost always keeps people honest. And every bit of self assurance counts in terms of keeping people on point in their out of gym actions.
The 3rd and most important accountability factor is competition. In completion or in any team game, the team most is realistic in identifying their strengths and weaknesses through communication. Therefore all participants will be virtually competing with each other based off of weekly competitions. These competitions consist of things such as fuel points, tardiness and a few other surprises in which the couple has to eventually work together to complete a goal.
Mike Brown comes into the fitness world with a diverse personal training experience that includes a wealth of time invested in strength and conditioning, weight training and peak performance through his football background. Mike gained a personal interest in functional movement including strength, endurance, stability, and flexibility as he prepared for his career as a Division I football player at University of Virginia. After his college football career, Mike pursued a NFL career before tearing his Achilles tendon. In 2009, Mike enrolled in CAL U OF PA’s grad program in Exercise Science. Through hard work and dedication as well as having a true understanding of how to achieve peak performance from his body. In 2011 he obtained a physical training internship with the NFL Combine class of 2012 at Test Football Academy in New Jersey.
