NEWS FLASH: We have the opportunity to bring the first full performance of To Each Their Own to the world through Audible.com, the largest platform for recorded books.
And we have a significant and talented actor attached to the project –
(Alex Hyde-White? The name is VERY familiar!) This 2nd generation internationally known actor has worked with some of Film’s greats, wants to record my script. (Alex is the son of Wilfrid Hyde-White, the quintessential English gentleman in over 100 film and stage productions, including My Fair Lady.)
He is ‘all in’ on the project, and is investing his considerable talent for a share of the proceeds from Audible – that’s how much he believes in the worth and potential popularity of the project. We need to cover the studio time (~$750.00) and any money we wish to spend in promoting the recording.
Here are the details:
“To Each Their Own” (Nickname: TETO) is a Shakespearean-style five act comedy that has gotten great initial reviews from the actors who have read it in our workshops.
Alex Hyde-White (IMDB) is doing a one-man production of it.
Alex Hyde-White works with Punch Audio www.PunchAudio.net in LA and they do audio work for Audible.com and various studios.
I sent him the script, he liked it, and he will be recording it for Audible.com for release on April 23rd, 2014 (Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday!) Audible’s platform will ensure it has a worldwide release. In addition to its millions of subscribers, Theatres considering putting on the play will be able to hear Mr Hyde-White’s performance at the touch of a button. I know they will be impressed with his reading, and TETO will be a step closer to a formal stage presentation.
We are looking for Producers, a real-world title you can add to your resume’, and will be included on our IMDB page, that you will be able to link to.
$750 will cover the cost of production and minimal promotion.
For every $100 more, we will be able to buy announcements and mentions on Shakespeare Web Sites, theatrical trade publications, and Podcasts. We will be able to do mail outs to Shakespeare Festivals, tour locally and appear virtually and promote the recording, the educational aspects of the play, and work to get TETO mounted as a full stage show in multiple festivals.
All producers will receive Professional Producer credit, bragging rights, and mention on our IMDB page and their names included in the next Print version of the play, and in the audio recording itself, if donated before the recording is finished.
Executive Producers will have their name included in the recording as well.
This IndieGoGo campaign will further support the promotion of this project. But since we are on a tight schedule to get it released on Shakespeare’s birthday, the initial costs need to be covered now.
We got the first part of the production fees from one Producer already. We need the rest of the production cost, and any promotions monies. Let us know if you want a Perk we don't have listed yet!
Please write us to find yourself a Producer on this exciting program of The Washington Shakespeare Festival.
