This campaign is for my brother Josh, the war hero who was recently injured severely while serving in Afghanistan. Within a month, my brother Josh, was involved in 2 IED (Improvised explosion device) explosions. On the first IED explosion, he was hurt, but his brother in arms was injured much worse. My brother provided first aid, keeping him alive till he made it to a German hospital. However his friend/brother in arms, did not survive this IED explosion. A month later my brother was once again on patrol with his bomb sniffing dog/companion, Banan, when he was involved in another IED explosion. This one however, nearly cost Josh his life. He was left with a shatter face and arm, no teeth and eyesight in jeopardy. He has shrapnel througout his entire body, some that may never be removed. He has already gone through several skin grafts and surgeries and has much more to go.

It is nothing less than a miracle Josh is still with us today. However he is in Washington D.C going through these surgeries and it is a long road to recovery. His wife and daughter have made the choice to stay by his side, living in D.C with him through all of this.

Josh is a true American hero. Since the age of 17 he has served his country selflessly.

  • BOSNIA

  • AFGHANISTAN  (2x)

  • IRAQ ( 4x )

HE IS RECIEVING:

  • 2 PURPLE HEARTS

  • 2 BRONZE STARS with "V" (stands for Valor)

He is currently at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Md

Even though the military is paying for all his medical expenses, there are other financial responsibilities he is now facing with all his bills back home in Tennessee. My brother has never asked for anything in his life and never will. And if I had the extra money, it would go directly to him.

In any situation when someone is trying to heal, the added burden of finances doesn't help. In an attempt to boost morale and spirits for the sake of his family and the ease of recovery we are asking for a little help. In this particular instance a little can go a long way... for someone who has risked his life to protect our freedom.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

If any active. injured, or retired military servicemen and women are reading this, I'd like to thank you for your service as well.
