Short Summary

Moncai vegan is run by Don Jackson and Princesa Vitela. Don Jackson has over 25 years in the restaurant industry from dishwasher to manager. Don has worked at restaurants Such as the Brigantine and Broken Yolk Cafe. The restaurant scene runs in his blood as his father was also in the industry. Princesa Vitela has worked as a private chef and has catered amazing events such as Cirque Du Soleil. Having joined their passions about food, they created Moncai. Opening a vegan restaurant is important to Moncai because it will provide hungry foodies with delicious animal and environmentally friendly foods. Our contributors will help us open our own restaurant so that they will have a set place to come and enjoy our cuisine. 

What We Need & What You Get

We are hoping to raise $20,000 to open a restaurant, but our ultimate goal would be $80,000. This includes:rent, machinery, menus, decor and cookware. Helping us reach our goal will provide you with some of our perks such as: cinnamon rolls, entrees, opening party invitations, cooking lessons, private catering and events. If we do not reach our goal, the funds will go toward opening a smaller scale restaurant. 

 Your Impact 

Helping Moncai reach its goal of having a restaurant is important to our contributors because it provides them with a set place to eat that is  conscious of the environment, and animals. The restaurant will introduce San Diegans to just how delicious vegan food can be and will be a place for food fans to call home.
