All proceeds go to Steven St. Bernard
I've never done anything like this before, but this man is an everyday Hero, and he needs some help. He was injured while saving a child. It just doesn't get any more Just and Right.
I've seen this story all over the Web, and the comments all share a similar thread: "We should help this guy." and "Someone should set up a donation," and "We should do something." And I agree. We should. Let's do this guy a solid.
This man and his family could use some financial support, period.
He has new medical bills, a family, and limited means. He's injured in a way that directly impacts his job. Anything we can give him would help.
A bit of disclosure:
I do not know Steven. I'm just a netizen that decided to set this thing up. I have very little experience with fundraisers, but this is a no-brainer. I feel strongly about this, and you should to, because this could be any of us. Think about it: We all like to think that if we were in the right place at the right time, we would selflessly step in to save a child. And so we might; most of us will never know. But this man did it, and didn't hesitate. Let's prove this to the world, and to ourselves: If you go out of your way to be a Hero, to save a child, then the world will help you back. And next time, if it does happen to be us that gets hurt, we will rest a little easier knowing that this kind of thing can happen.
I'm a small business owner with a family. This story got to me.
