Here's the deal:
Lowman is coming out with our first full length album in March, and if you support us, we'll give all the funds raised to two amazing local charities, Horizons for Homeless Children and Community Servings.
Here's the story:
Lowman's first full length CD "Garden of Rainbows" is coming out March 28th, and we've been picked up by the promotional company Powderfinger (whose previous clients include Medeski Martin & Wood, The Dresden Dolls, Bela Fleck, The Bad Plus, and Gov't Mule, among many others). We’re humbled to be on a client list with such amazing acts. When we started playing this music, we had no idea if anyone would have any interest in hearing what we had cooked up. We truly appreciate the support you've given us so far, and have poured our hearts into making this CD worthy of your support. We truly think this new CD is something special, and we hope you agree.
But we need your help. Publicity takes a lot of money, on top of recording, mixing, artwork, CDs printing, and other costs. (we've made a spreadsheet if you're curious where all the money is going). And while we're not destitute, we don't have piles of cash lying around either. So it's you who will determine if we can we can take full advantage of this opportunity to take Lowman to the next level.
That said, we know that when it comes to actual human needs, we are extraordinarily lucky, and that there are many in our community who lack basic necessities such as food and shelter. So while we believe we've created something special that is worth paying for on its own, we also deeply believe in doing what we can for those who are truly struggling.
That's why we're making this
promise: if you help us reach our funding goal, we will provide you with the perks
listed here, AND we'll give all the funds raised to two amazing local
charities, Horizons for Homeless Children and Community Servings, over the course of the
next 4 years.
Horizons goal is to "improve the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and help their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services." Community Servings provides individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses appealing, nutritious meals, and sends the message to those in greatest need that someone cares.
We hope you can help us, and by extension, help those who truly need it. Because we know that your support of our music is a gift, and the best way to honor a gift is to pay it forward.
If you feel you can't make a contribution to our campaign, then thank you for reading this far, and for at least considering it. We love you and wish all good things for you, and hope to see you soon, at a show or just, you know, around. And if you can't contribute to this campaign, please do keep Horizons for Homeless Children and Community Servings in mind when you make charitable contributions, they really are doing great work.
Also, if you want to contribute, but none of the perks listed are speaking to you (or if you want to contribute on top of the perks listed), then by all means, click the contact button, we are happy to accept donations via cash, personal check, paypal, etc.
Finally, please consider spreading the word about the campaign, via word of mouth, email, the social media platform(s) of your choosing, Indiegogo's share tools. Our ultimate goal is to get Lowman's music out into the world as widely as possible, and at the same time help Horizons and Community Servings continue to do their good work. For that, as always, we depend on you. Thank you again, and, as always:
Thank you for your kind attention! Aim Low! Take the Low road! Go Low and let the love flow! See you at the show!
