The Damage is Done Now It's Our Turn To Help Clean Up The Mess
Those who have survived Super Typhoon Haiyan are being forced to plead for help, food and water in the central Philippines.
"Hundreds of thousands of homes have been lost, water systems are broken
and normal sanitation systems have failed or been flooded. With
credible sources quoting that 90% of buildings have been leveled in the
coastal area where the typhoon hit, this is now a humanitarian
catastrophe that needs a global coordinated response."
Residents of Tacloban can no longer find uncontaminated water.
What Devastated Residents are Saying
"We have only three cans of water left to drink and people have started roaming the streets, going into houses to steal things. It has only been three days. Within two weeks it will be impossible for anyone to survive."
"I had to break into a warehouse to find water but it won't last us two days. People aren't going to survive like this."
"Everywhere, there are bodies, four days on and in the baking heat."
"It's difficult to comprehend the loss of life, of homes, difficult to understand how people can have faith when they have nothing left."http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/nov/11/typhoon-haiyan-city-tacloban1
Showcase Humanity and Do What you Can to Help
The residents will not survive and live without your help and support. Anything you can do to donate helps. All donations for this campaign will be going to the International Rescue Committee a registered 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization: https://www.rescue.org/donate/typhoon-haiyan?ms=ms=ws_bnnr_typ_hayn_NK_131111
I will personally match whatever funds are raised here at Indiegogo.com up to $10,000 and donate that to the International Rescue Committee. Also stay tuned for Humanity.fm where we will be launching crowdfunding projects like this more often.
