Located in the foothills above Magalia, California since 1990, KZFR 90.1 FM Community Radio's transmitter (pictured below) reaches thousands of listeners everyday across the Sacramento Valley, providing crucial information, news and music you won't hear on commercial radio.
Sadly, our transmitter is dying.
We are experiencing reduced coverage and compete outages. We tried fixing the problem but we're still not able to reach full power. Our transmitter is dying a slow death and must to be replaced.
How Can You help?
Give what you can to KZFR's Power to the Tower Fund & Help spread the word - We need to raise enough money for a new transmitter and much needed repairs to the transmitter site.Without a new transmitter, we will not be able to fulfill the goals KZFR Community Radio set to achieve 24 years ago - to enlighten, entertain and educate listeners throughout northern California and beyond.
With your contribution, we will buy a new, strong transmitter!
With your help, we will finally have a new transmitter that will carry us into the future with a strong, clear signal! A new transmitter that will guarantee continued broadcasting of our diverse programs like Woody & Friends, Devastation Sounds, Celt Radio, plus public affairs programs like The Point Is and Democracy Now! and culturally diverse programs like Native Song, Face the Music, Hmong Neej Tshiab, and Cultural Roots of Aztlan to just name a few of our amazing shows in the Program Schedule.
