The game tells of a creature named Pip, who has an incarnation in a surreal world as a funny but brutal worm. Pip is naive and doesn’t know anything at all about this reality. Talking with a flower or a stone for him as natural as tasting another representative of local fauna. He examines this new world overcoming obstacles to a new rebirth and trying to figure out who he really is. At the same time he is learning the laws of karma and the relativity of good and evil.

No text dialogue in the game. No text at all! All communication is via visual cues and images, in the form of clouds over the heads of the characters with cartoon icons only.
Crazy psychedelic world surrounds the character throughout the game. Over 20 unique locations, lots of mini-games and original, surreal and mind-bending puzzles.
Astral sight gives an opportunity to look into the world of spirits at any point in the game. It also allows you to see through different sets of eyes at the surrounding scenery. In the astral world you could find the hints for quests and many other exciting and amazing things. The most common object could look quite different in the astral world.
Variability of completing quests gives different ways to play through the game again and again. You have a choice whether you’d like to do good or evil things to complete quests. Each evil deed spoils Pip’s karma and changes his appearance. He grows spikes and horns. Good deeds purified karma. Key characters respond differently to Pip’s karma, opening additional storyline.
A lot of funny animations of the varied interactions of Pip. The environment and other characters of the quests are drawn individually for each situation.
Magic music in ethnic-trance and psychedelic trance style accompanies your journey in each location and immerses you within the unique atmosphere of the unusual world of the game. All the music recorded live by band Zmeiraduga.
The game was devised in 2012 when our source of inspiration and Art Director Alexander Kuvshinov created a cartoon about the laws of Karma.
At first it was intended as a small animated series which was just for fun. But when we saw how that turned out, we immediately decided to make a game of it, a real indie psychedelic adventure, that we all love to play! We got together and started developing the game in our spare time between major projects.
Since that time enormous work on pre-production has been done; we’ve drawn a huge amount of concept art, designed and painted a bunch of brain puzzles, locations, made game design documentation and created the working prototype.
Now we can safely say that the project will live! And we know how it will look. Our team has planned the distinct stages of its development. In order to fully concentrate on production and release truly amazing and unique game without censorship from publishers and non-core investors, we need your help.
We are a small indie team of true professionals in their areas: game production, producing, game design, design, animation. Each of us (except musicians) has a huge experience in the major game-development companies. Every specialist has several successful projects. We have established the team to release this project - a truly indie adventure which we have all dreamed of creating.

Q: When Karma will be released?
Late 2014 - early 2015, we can’t give a more precise date, as it depends on what the amount of revenue generated and if we then do additional storylines - this would add to development time..
Q: What engine is the game being created in?
Unity3D. Our first prototype was actually built with Adobe Flash, but we rejected this idea because of the ease of porting in Unity3D.
Q: Do you have plans to port to other platforms?
Yes, as you can see in stretch goals - we have goals to get money to do port to Android, iOS, PS4 and Xbox One. If we don’t reach the goals - the ports will then depend on the sales of the game.
Q: How far into development is the game now?
We have working prototype, all of the game’s design, documentation and a lot of conceptual art. We already assembling locations in the prototype now, which you can see it in the video. Approximately 20% of development is complete.
Q: Will there be any form of DRM?
We’re not totally certain, it will be on publisher’s side (Steam for example), so the answer is yes.

Q: You have very small team, and it’s your first label together, how you can be sure you will create a great game?
We will increase our team as necessary after we meet the goal. Of course it’s close to impossible to create awesome game without QA for example, or with only one animator.
Secondly, we are all experienced professionals in game development, and in management of the process from beginning to the end of the process. Q: Your game is about karma and the relativity of good and evil; does that means that you believe you know what is good and what is bad and trying to impose your personal point of view to the player?
No, we’re just telling a story of one incarnation of one strange creature in surreal world. Any coincidences is absolutely random =) And to be serious, of course not. It’s too complicated for someone to pretend to know what is good and what is evil, actually. We just created the game to give some fun to our players, that’s all we do. Everyone will find their own meaning in our game’s storyline.
Q: Do you have clear scenario of the game?Of course we do =) Additional scenes and quests are still in progress, but it’s about we know what will happen within the scenes, but we don’t know how exactly yet. It doesn’t mean that the game will be released without any edits of current scenarios we have planned - we continually invent (and reinvent) new puzzles, quests and characters all the time, but we have a fixed base storyline.
